3 Easy Ways to Install a Pellet Stove

CORN: A Bushel a day will keep the cold away...

By Joy Powell of the Minneapolis, Star Tribune...

Fuel or Food?  Mike Haefner of American Energy Systems says don't worry about using corn as fuel because buyers of corn-burning stoves need not burn food-grade corn.

Corn wholesalers can be located through state and local agricultural departments, Haefner said, cautioning that consumers should be sure not to buy feed corn which is too expensive for fuel. Haefner also said more corn is thrown away each year than is currently burned for heat.

If you still don't want to burn corn or can't find it, the American Energy System stoves also burn other materials, such as wood pellets or cherry pits.
